To assist community members facing the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, The Redwood’s good friends at Greenrock Real Estate Advisors have launched a $500,000 COVID-19 Relief Fund, through its charitable trust, Greenrock IMPACT.

The Redwood is so grateful for the $10,000 we received from the Fund. The donation has already been put right to work, providing women and children living at The Redwood with what they need most: a safe home, nutritious meals, and access to around the clock counselling. And it’s providing women in the community, who are still living with violence and abuse, continued access to The Redwood’s telephone crisis line that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Greenrock Real Estate Advisors has been incredibly supportive of The Redwood since we first met in November 2018. The company was the first, and largest(!), contributor to Redwood Park, a therapeutic playground being built in the shelter’s secure courtyard to support children as they heal from the trauma of abuse. Greenrock has filled the fridges of many families when they move out of The Redwood and into their new homes, by contributing to our Fill The Fridge fund with grocery store gift cards. And Greenrock employees generously volunteered their time and talents, helping us prepare for our annual Redwood open house.
