Membership in the Anthea Windsor Giving Circle is offered to donors who have included The Redwood in their will, or have made a future or planned gift. These committed donors are generous people like you, who have made a lasting investment in breaking the cycle of domestic violence by remembering The Redwood in their estate planning. The Society is named in honour of our longest serving volunteer and former Executive Director and President of The Redwood Board of Directors, Anthea Windsor.

“The Redwood provides important services to women and children who have the courage to risk many hardships by leaving an abusive relationship.” Anthea notes. “It’s such a comfort to me that these families will still benefit from my continued financial support in the future. While I don’t have much, I want to make sure that what I do have goes both to those I love, and to those who haven’t had the privilege I’ve had.”

Through the Anthea Windsor Giving Circle, we wish to pay tribute to Anthea’s dedication to ending violence against women, and to recognize every generous donor who has confirmed a bequest or other planned gift to The Redwood.

The names of Anthea Windsor Giving Circle members are included in our annual report, and are listed on a plaque in our shelter reception area. (Donors who wish to remain anonymous will be thanked in a private manner).

The Anthea Windsor Giving Circle members are also invited to a special annual reception with the Executive Director and Board President, where we take the opportunity to thank you in person, and provide you with an update on our work to help women and children find the opportunities they need to start new lives, free from abuse.
