The Redwood Women in Trades: HVAC Technician

When leaving an abusive relationship, many women find it difficult to secure the kind of well-paid job they need to support their families on their own. This can lead women to return to a dangerous situation especially when they have children to feed.

The Redwood Women in Trades: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician program supports survivors of violence to pursue careers in the HVAC industry because the industry offers liveable wages, stable job opportunities, and great options for career growth.

The program removes barriers to successfully completing training and apprenticeships and securing good jobs that pay a living wage.

Do you think that a career in HVAC is right for you?

The Redwood’s Women in Trades: HVAC Technician program is open to women, gender non-binary, trans, and 2-spirit people who have been affected by gender-based violence.

Eligible participants must also be:

  • Able to work and study in Canada
  • Able to attend training both online and in person
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to pursue a career in the HVAC industry
  • Able to fully commit to training and meeting course attendance requirements
