How to Start
A will is a legal document. We strongly encourage you to seek legal estate planning advice from a qualified lawyer if you are making a will or changing your will.
The Redwood’s full legal name is The Redwood…for women and children fleeing abuse. Any legal document used to make a planned gift must include the full legal name of the charity. The Redwood is a registered Canadian charity – our Charitable Registration Number is 89172 8867 RR0001.
Anthea Windsor Planned Giving Circle
We invite donors who make a gift in their will to be recognized as a part of the Anthea Windsor Planned Giving Circle. The Giving Circle is named in honour of our longest serving President of The Redwood Board of Directors and pays tribute to Anthea’s dedication to ending gender-based violence.

It’s such a comfort to me that these families will still benefit from my continued financial support in the future. While I don’t have much, I want to make sure that what I do have goes both to those I love, and to those who haven’t had the privilege I’ve had.”
